We provide space for low-income residents for family celebrations (birthdays, weddings, memorial services, graduation parties, etc.) and also provide space for other groups and organizations that share the Family Learning Center's values and mission. Specific groups and organizations we partner with are: Boulder Police Department, Boulder Valley School District, City of Boulder Family Resource Schools, Parks and Recreation Department, YMCA, Boulder County AIDS Project, Boulder County Mental Health Center, People's Clinic, Minority Issues Coalition, Boulder Public Library and the University of Colorado at Boulder.

  • Crisis Prevention: The Family Learning Center provides referral services for families and children who are experiencing short- and long-term emergencies and crises (immigration, housing, legal, food, health care and tax issues).
  • Food/Clothing distribution: Through generous community donations the Center distributes food boxes, clothing and other household items to the families we serve.
  • Special Events: The Family Learning Center sponsors a variety of special events such as the annual community Cinco de Mayo celebration and the Penfield Tate Humanitarian Awards Dinner and Silent Auction.
